Innovative Infra Hub (IIHub) conducted a comprehensive pavement assessment for a 6-acre commercial concrete parking lot in Plano, Texas. Using high-resolution drone imagery, our team delivered a geotagged orthomosaic, a detailed 3D model, and a full Pavement Condition Index (PCI) assessment in compliance with ASTM D6433.
The evaluation included a thorough inspection of surface distresses, such as cracking, spalling, and joint deficiencies, each classified and rated by severity. IIHub’s high-resolution 3D model allowed the client to visualize surface deformations and structural concerns with clarity, aiding proactive maintenance planning.
“The final deliverables equipped the client with actionable insights for optimizing asset management and ensuring the long-term sustainability of their parking lot.”
By leveraging drone-based imaging, IIHub minimized disruptions to daily operations and delivered faster, more accurate results than conventional methods. The PCI assessment data and 3D reconstructions served as a valuable resource, informing targeted repairs, cost estimates, and overall lifecycle planning for the commercial property.
Following ASTM D6433 guidelines, each distress was identified, measured, and assigned a severity rating. The resulting PCI score allowed stakeholders to quickly grasp the overall condition of the pavement and prioritize maintenance actions.
All findings were consolidated into a user-friendly report, complete with annotated images, condition maps, and recommended repair strategies.
